Mike, I love "the process" and "self compassion." You are an original thinker, which I appreciate greatly.
The game of golf needs more people like Mike Booker.
Most of you have been reading Mike’s name in the sports pages for the last 40 years. He has won most every golf tournament one can win at the local, state, and national level, some multiple times. He has won more Texas Golf Association events than anyone who has come before him.
Mike has successfully transitioned to the business world while continuing his excellence in the Texas golf environment for decades. Mike has demonstrated his longevity as well as a golfing record that has to be one of Texas’ great amateur careers.
Mike has been a remarkable amateur golf player at all levels, and his impressive resume certainly validates that. He has represented the great game of golf admirably.
Probably as accomplished an amateur golfer in the state of Texas that we have had. He is the standard by which we grade ourselves.
Mike has solidified himself as one of the best competitive golf amateurs in Texas golf history.
Mike is one of the best amateur golfers in Texas history. He has an impressive resume, including being a member of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame.
Now, this is really cool. The golf world doesn’t deserve you! Thanks for being such a spearhead for the game.
—Cole H.
The book was awesome, Mike, What a ride you’ve had buddy.

I bought a copy for everyone on our team. This is the perfect age for our young men to be thinking like a Tournament Golfer!

So awesome. You are going to be the new Bob Rotella! Completely changed my golf game.

I think it’s a great story for passionate players and you deserve credit for stating things we all wish we were better at. The book just makes it more visible!
—Alan F.
Mike, I thoroughly enjoyed your book, on par with Rotella books I have read, with great wisdom about life sprinkled in. NO WHINING!

Your book came last night, and I read it in one sitting! You clearly put into words what goes on in so many golf minds. I really enjoyed the process parts. WELL DONE.

"Regardless of skill level, the mental aspect of golf can be the most daunting to master. Booker shares what has worked for him, with the tournament wins to back them up. His pointers on what not to do really hit home. Wish he had written it sooner!" —Huw Pierce
"Mike Booker has assimilated ideas on the beauty of playing the game of golf while fusing both the physical and mental aspects of the game together in order to achieve both competitive success and sheer enjoyment of the greatest game ever. For the entirety of his life of "being a golfer" from early childhood throughout his hall of fame career, he has been attentive to "pearls if wisdom" sent his way from mentors, coaches and some of the greatest professionals of all time, to consolidate an approach to the game that can yield successes. For those who see golf as a metaphor for life, his "Life Hack" pages demonstrate a transference of grinding through a round of golf as an application to the challenges of grinding through the game of life. It's an easy read and one that golfers will return to often. I know I will." —Joel Williams
"This book not only gives excellent advice on how to improve your tournament game, but also the advice translates well to everyday life. Booker’s anecdotes are interesting and drive each point home in a relatable way." —Kenneth C.
"This book is a terrific look into the mindset of a Tournament Golfer. It also provides tremendous insight to everyday life! As a nearly life-long 'Golfer-Who-Plays-Tournaments' but THOUGHT he was a 'Tournament Golfer,' I can't wait to incorporate the lessons that Mike describes in this book to my game!! On top of that, these same lessons can be applied to enhance my personal relationships, business approach, and so much more! Well done, Mike Booker!!" —Titus Harris
"Mike is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet, but when it comes to playing competitive golf, he is an assassin. I play with Mike from time to time, and I marvel not only at his course management skills but also at his generosity when it comes to sharing knowledge about the game. When he told me he wrote this book, I immediately bought it. Can’t wait to discover how his tournament experience and golf wisdom raises the level of MY game." —James
"I’ve read plenty of books written by non-golfers or psychologist types. This book differs from many in that Mike addresses mental issues from a successful player’s perspective which I feel is an essential additional angle for the golfer trying to improve his ability to compete. The book is broken into smaller, easy-to-read chapters that hit home. He includes real life examples from his career that are fun to read. I’d recommend this to any golfer looking to get better." —TX Golfer
"Great read! The Tournament Golfer’s Playbook teaches you the proper mindset to attack any goal you are trying to achieve! Michael Booker does a great job teaching you this mindset through golf, business and family life." —Michael
